Learn to Use a Peg Loom – Create a Beautiful Sitting Mat

This is a one-day workshop on using a peg loom. We will be creating a beautiful wool sitting mat from scratch. You don’t need any prior experience in weaving; every step in the process will be explained and demonstrated.  Peg loom weaving is quick to learn, so you can create something really beautiful in just one session.

Come and learn how to create a beautiful, environmentally-friendly, recyclable and compostable sitting mat which can be used for hiking, wild-swimming, camping, festival-going or simply as a cushion to put on a chair. Participants will be provided with a loom, the warp and all the wool necessary to complete the project. However, if you have your own wool (washed and carded) that you would like to use, do bring it along. This type of weaving is a great way to use wool from your stash that may be a bit too coarse or not suitable for spinning!
